Dogs that are aggressive to other dogs, are very difficult to take for a walk and keep under control. This behaviour left unattended, will worsen over time. The sooner you seek help from an experienced behaviourist, the better your chances of rehabilitating your dog.
Dog on dog aggression consultations are very skilled work in which Paul has had a great deal of experience. He has worked with dogs that exhibit this behaviour for over 10 years.
These consultations can be held at your own home or our training facilities.
Behavioural problems are an indication that your relationship with your dog is off-balance. At Mere Brow Gundogs, we have the skills and the experience to give you the specialist help you need to find the quickest way to a happy relationship with your dog. We work with dogs of all ages and breeds with a variety of problems including separation anxiety, aggression, destructive behaviour, excessive barking, fighting, biting, shyness, fears, anxiety, jumping up, pulling on the lead or unwanted toileting.
We will arrange a behavioural consultation to discuss the problems you are having with your dog and to help us with our diagnosis of your dog's problem. These consultations are held in your home environment and will last approximately two hours. We will test your dog for its aggressive behaviour towards other dogs using our dogs if needed. This will enable us to observe your dog's conduct to help in the diagnosis.
Paul will work with your dog to assess the best way to rehabilitate him/her. He will explain what the problem is and the most probable cause. Paul will work with you to show you the methods that he thinks will be best to rehabilitate your dog. Following this, you may attend a behavioural modification programme or contact us by phone or email to allow Paul to monitor your dog's progress. Our behaviour modification programmes are customised to each individual dog and their owner.
After the consultation, we will write a report and a plan of action will be set in place to ensure the successful rehabilitation of your dog.
The fee for the behaviour consultation is £145. A one hour follow-up visit costs £50.
If your consultation is within a 10 mile radius of Tarleton, Lancashire, there will not be any travelling charges applied. For every mile over this 10 mile radius an additional 45 pence per mile will be added to the consultation and follow-up visit.
