We spend time with you, the handler, and your dog. Paul will work on the aspects of dog training that you are finding difficult and find the solutions.
Your initial session will be more of an evaluation so we can meet your dog, answer your queries and discuss what your dog training goals are. We want to understand what you wish to achieve, ranging from general obedience training through to problem solving and/or possible corrective training. From this, your training will be tailored to meet you and your dog's individual needs to achieve the best results.
For gundog training we can start with the basics such as heeling, recall, stopping on the whistle, steadiness and retrieving. If your training is further along, we can assist in training your dog to take direction at a distance, hunt and blind retrieve, work with other dogs, cross fences and water, be steady on rabbits and flushing birds, be shot over and retrieve game.
We also cater for domestic dogs and their owners, where we are able to assess the dogs training needs. We will work with the owner to implement a training programme specifically tailored to your dogs needs and ability.
These are non-pressureised training sessions and we aim for the handler and their dog to leave happy and confident to continue and build upon the training skills.
We have a large secure pen offering an enclosed, safe environment to offer peace of mind for owners who may not feel at ease letting their dog off the lead in an open space.
One-to-one lessons can be arranged during normal working hours, weekday evenings (summer only) and weekends (year round).
We specialise in helping handlers train their own dogs and provide guidance and help with specific problems.
